Robin Peguero (Democratic Party) is a candidate for the U.S. House in Florida's 27th Congressional District, with the primary scheduled for August 18, 2026. A first-generation American, he is the son of a Dominican father and Ecuadorian mother who immigrated and enlisted in the U.S. Army, and he was raised in Hialeah. According to his campaign and contemporaneous news reporting, Peguero worked as a homicide prosecutor in Miami from 2014 until September 2021, then served as investigative counsel for the U.S. House Select Committee Investigating the January 6 Attack. He later was chief of staff for Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) until January 2024 and has taught law in Miami since.
