Luke Aaron Bronin is an American attorney and former mayor of Hartford, Connecticut, who served two terms from January 2016 to January 2024. He previously worked as General Counsel to Governor Dannel Malloy and as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes during the Obama administration. A U.S. Navy Reserve veteran who deployed to Afghanistan, Bronin is the Democratic candidate for Connecticut's 1st Congressional District in 2026, challenging incumbent John B. Larson in the August 11 primary.
