David L. Young (born c. 1955) is a Colorado Democrat running for the U.S. House in Colorado's 8th Congressional District in 2026. He served in the Colorado House of Representatives representing the 50th district (Greeley, Evans, and Garden City in Weld County) from 2011 to 2019, and has served as Colorado State Treasurer since January 8, 2019, winning re-election in 2022. A former math and technology teacher, he is a senior instructor at the University of Colorado Denver and holds a B.S. in mathematics from Colorado State University and an M.A. from the University of Colorado Denver.
