Dwayne Romero is the 2026 Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District. A retired U.S. Army Engineer Officer and combat veteran, he graduated from West Point, where he played baseball, and served seven years in the Army Corps of Engineers, earning a Bronze Star during the Persian Gulf War. He previously served as Director of Economic Development in Governor John Hickenlooper's administration and on his local city council, school board, and fire protection district board. He and his wife Margaret live on Colorado's Western Slope, where he owns a property management company.
