Christopher J. Gonzales is a Republican candidate for U.S. House in California's 47th Congressional District in the 2026 election. He is an attorney who owns the Law Office of Christopher J. Gonzales in Santa Ana and resides in Irvine, Orange County. Gonzales served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps from 1986 to 1998. He earned bachelor's degrees from the University of California, Irvine in 1989 and a juris doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1992. He previously ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House in California's 46th District in 2020 and 2022, losing the 2022 general election to incumbent Lou Correa.
