Richard Pan is a physician and public health advocate who served in the California State Senate representing District 6 from 2014 to 2022 and in the California State Assembly representing District 9 from 2010 to 2014. He earned a B.S. from Johns Hopkins University, an M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master's in public health from Harvard University, and worked as a pediatrician and associate professor of pediatrics at UC Davis. He is the Democratic candidate for California's 6th Congressional District in the 2026 U.S. House election.
