Bill Hill is a commercial fisherman and retired educator from Naknek, Alaska, who is running as an Independent for Alaska's at-large U.S. House seat in 2026. He is Dena'ina Athabascan and was raised in the village of Kokhanok before moving to Naknek. Hill worked for more than 25 years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, including as superintendent of the Bristol Bay Borough School District and the Lake and Peninsula School District, and was named Alaska Superintendent of the Year in 2023. He is challenging Republican incumbent Nick Begich in the August 18, 2026 top-four primary.
