Tanya Lloyd (Democratic) is the 2026 Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Texas' 27th Congressional District. According to her campaign and Ballotpedia, Lloyd is a fifth-generation Texan and a public school teacher in the Lockhart Independent School District. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Texas State University (then Southwest Texas State University) in December 2006. Before becoming a teacher, she worked in car dealerships, real estate, and family small business in Central Texas.
