Kristin Hook is the Democratic nominee for U.S. House in Texas' 21st Congressional District in 2026 after winning the March 3 Democratic primary; she also ran in the district in 2024 against incumbent Chip Roy. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, she holds a B.A. and B.S. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in animal behavior from Cornell University. Her career experience includes teaching middle school science with Teach for America, a postdoc at the University of Maryland, a policy fellowship in Sen. Elizabeth Warren's office, and work as a biologist for the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
