Shawn Harris, a Democrat from Blakely, Georgia, is a retired U.S. Army Brigadier General running as the Democratic nominee for Georgia's 14th Congressional District in 2026. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after high school, later earned a B.A. in Agribusiness from Tuskegee University, and completed a degree in Strategic Studies from the Army War College; he served 40 years in the military. He was the 2024 Democratic nominee for the same seat, losing to Marjorie Taylor Greene, and was the Democratic runner-up in the 2026 special election won by Clay Fuller.
