Mike Davey is a Democrat who filed to run for Florida's 27th Congressional District in 2026 but withdrew from the Democratic primary and endorsed Robin Peguero. He previously served as a councilman and mayor of the Village of Key Biscayne, and earned a law degree from Fordham University after attending night classes at Harvard University while working at a public policy firm. Davey also ran unsuccessfully for the same U.S. House seat in the 2024 Democratic primary, finishing with 45.8% of the vote against winner Lucia Baez-Geller, and earlier ran for the Florida State House in 2016.
