Larry Thompson is the Republican candidate for California's 32nd Congressional District in 2026, having advanced from the June 2, 2026 primary to face Democratic incumbent Brad Sherman in the November 3, 2026 general election. He previously ran for the same seat in 2024 and 2020. Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in 1966 and a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, Adjutant General's Corps, from 1968 to 1974. His professional experience includes work as a lawyer, talent manager, and film producer, and he has been affiliated with the California Bar Association.
