Mike France is a Republican candidate for U.S. House in Connecticut's 2nd congressional district in 2026, his third consecutive campaign to unseat Democratic incumbent Joe Courtney. He previously served four terms in the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 42nd district. A career naval officer who retired around 2005, France worked as a defense contractor and served as supervisor of shipbuilding in Groton. He holds a B.S. from the University of Southern California and master's degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School and Eastern Connecticut State University.
