Yadira Caraveo is a doctor and Democratic candidate for U.S. House in Colorado's 8th Congressional District. She grew up in Adams County as the child of Mexican immigrants, graduated from Northglenn High School, earned a bachelor's degree from Regis University, and received her M.D. from the University of Colorado, after which she practiced as a pediatrician in Adams County. She served in the Colorado House of Representatives for District 31 from 2019 to 2023 before being elected to the U.S. House in 2022, where she represented Colorado's 8th District from 2023 to 2025.
