John Cowan is a neurosurgeon and small business owner, and the Republican nominee for U.S. House in Georgia's 11th Congressional District in 2026. His campaign says his family has been part of the Bartow County community since the 1930s; he graduated from Cartersville High School and has practiced medicine across the district for decades. He and his wife, Dr. Anne Cowan, are raising four children, and he serves as an elder in his church. He previously ran for Georgia's 14th Congressional District in 2020.
