Michelle Steel, a Republican, served in the U.S. House of Representatives for California's 45th Congressional District from 2023 to 2025 after representing the 48th District from 2021 to 2023. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she holds a bachelor's degree from Pepperdine University and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Before her time in Congress, she served on the California State Board of Equalization (2007-2015) and the Orange County Board of Supervisors (2015-2021), including two terms as its chair.
