Byron Donalds is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 19th congressional district, a seat he has held since January 3, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Crown Heights, he earned a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from Florida State University in 2002 and worked as a commercial credit officer and portfolio manager before entering public life. He served in the Florida House of Representatives for District 80 from 2016 to 2020, and in February 2025 announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Governor of Florida in the 2026 election.
