Ayanna Pressley is the U.S. Representative for Massachusetts's 7th Congressional District, a Democrat who took office January 3, 2019. She previously served as an at-large member of the Boston City Council from 2010 to 2019, and earlier worked as an aide to U.S. Representative Joseph P. Kennedy II and U.S. Senator John Kerry. In December 2025, she announced she would seek reelection to the House seat in 2026 rather than run for the U.S. Senate.
