Ashley Hinson is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Iowa's 2nd congressional district, serving since 2021. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, she graduated from the University of Southern California and worked as a television news anchor at KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids before entering politics. She served in the Iowa House of Representatives for the 67th district from 2017 to 2021, and won her U.S. House seat in 2020 by defeating Democrat Abby Finkenauer, winning re-election in 2022 and 2024.
