Andrew P. "Andy" Harris is a Republican who has served as the U.S. Representative for Maryland's 1st Congressional District since 2011. Before Congress, he worked as a physician and anesthesiologist, serving as an associate professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine and chief of obstetric anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He served in the Maryland State Senate from 1999 to 2011, and is the incumbent seeking re-election to the same U.S. House seat in 2026.
