Andy Biggs is a Republican who has represented Arizona's 5th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2017. Before entering Congress, he served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011 and in the Arizona Senate from 2011 to 2017, including as Senate President from 2013 to 2017. A lawyer by profession, Biggs earned a law degree from the University of Arizona. In January 2025, he announced a campaign for governor of Arizona in the 2026 election.
