Alan Armstrong is a Republican serving as a U.S. senator from Oklahoma. Governor Kevin Stitt appointed him on March 24, 2026, to fill the remainder of Markwayne Mullin's term after Mullin was nominated as U.S. secretary of homeland security. Before entering the Senate, Armstrong spent his career at the energy company Williams, serving as its chief executive from 2011 to 2025, and had not previously held public office. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma and, under state law, is ineligible to run in the 2026 election.
